Irvine City Councilman Anthony Kuo has challenged the residents of the city of Irvine to log 1 million hours of community service. In a tweet, Anthony talked about all the great volunteer groups that are already out in the community doing good work. The main purpose of the initiative is to show what can be done when all the hours are added together.
At my request, the City Council is challenging #Irvine to contribute 1M hours of #communityservice! I know our PTA’s, scouts, and countless other orgs already give back. So, let’s see how quickly we can get to 1 million … TOGETHER! #IrvineServes —> https://t.co/x25G0UGV2Z pic.twitter.com/JwcCYkfMa3
