Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer recently announced the successful capture of two men who kidnapped and sexually assaulted an innocent woman in Huntington Beach. The victim, a 27 year old woman who was walking home from downtown Huntington Beach, was kidnapped by two men, and then gagged, choked, and sexually assaulted before losing consciousness and being thrown out of a moving vehicle.
According to a press release issued by Spitzer’s office, “Florentino Bacilio, 47, of Long Beach, and Angel Lopezevaristo, 30, of Long Beach, have both been charged with one felony count of kidnapping to commit rape, one felony count of sodomy, and one felony count of forcible sexual penetration with a foreign object.” District Attorney Todd Spitzer is working hard to prosecute the two suspects with the full force of the law, and they face up to life in prison if convicted.
“Being grabbed off the street, gagged, and sexually assaulted is the stuff nightmares are made of,” said Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer. “That nightmare became reality for this victim and thankfully, by the grace of God, she survived. No woman should have to live in fear that a walk home would result in the horror she was forced to endure.”
Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer continues to protect Orange County families by aggressively prosecuting the most dangerous criminals, even when Sacramento lawmakers work hard to release harmful criminals back into neighborhoods. Spitzer fought hard to prosecute sex offenders who were released from prison by Sacramento politicians, and has taken a strong stand to keep murderers, rapists, and other criminals in jail.
