California provides options for online registration, but you must be registered by October 21.
Only three weeks left until election day and that means less than one more week to register to vote.
The deadline to register in California is Monday October 21 and you can now register to vote online. The California Secretary of State offers their website in 10 languages including English, Spanish, and Vietnamese. There is even an option to pre-register for 16 and 17 year olds.
The Orange County Registrar of Voters recommends a minimum of 48 hours for online applications to process since registrations are not instant and require individual review before becoming official.
To register or make changes to your registration (such as new address or name change), you will be asked to provide your driver’s license number and the last four digits of your social security number.

Polls are open from 7am – 8pm..
If you are in line by 8pm when the polls close, you cannot be turned away from voting. If poll workers cannot find your name in the register, you have the right to request a provisional ballot and your vote will be counted after election officials confirm your registration.
