Much like the rest of the world, the politics of Coronavirus is heating up here in Southern California, the latest involving newly-elected Congressman Gil Cisneros.
Rep. Cisneros (D-Yorba Linda) found time during this national crisis to throw a racially-charged, cheap shot at his opponent Young Kim who is currently beating him in the polls.
As usual, my opponent goes straight towards partisanship. If Gil needs a reminder: I’m a proud Asian American immigrant, long-time member of this community, and a public servant. Cisneros’ comments are ignorant, insensitive, and racist. (1/4) https://t.co/J0gKIEovTU

It takes a great deal of self-assurance to accuse an Asian-American immigrant of basically not being Asian enough!
While more and more American people are losing their jobs and businesses, focusing on the American people in need during this crisis should trump personal political gain, shouldn’t it?
The reason for Cisneros’ stretch to criticize Young Kim, is likely to due to the fact that Kim beat Cisneros two weeks ago in the March Primary. They will now square off in the November 3rd, General Election, in what is sure to be a tight race and hopefully one in which Cisneros’ abandons his race-baiting comments.
